Local guide in a beach town

Wasaga Beach Casino Online, Year-Round

This is an independent local guide to Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach on Joseph Drive, not the casino's own site. It walks you through the hours, the games, the bus and the door, in summer and the rest of the year.

In beach season, the casino keeps the same published schedule as the rest of the year.

A young woman with long dark wavy hair, in white linen shorts and a pale-blue knotted blouse, stands on a boardwalk at a sandy beach in summer, holding a sign that reads Playtime Casino, Wasaga Beach.

Sunday to Thursday, the doors open at 10 AM and close at 2 AM. Friday and Saturday run from 10 AM to 4 AM. That is the one schedule the casino publishes. The casino lists no separate summer or winter hours, and no holiday hours either. Before a holiday visit, call 705-422-2520 to check.

Getting home runs on a different clock. The town's two local bus routes run daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Closing comes much later on every night of the week. The flags below answer for any day and hour you pick.

What you can play

The floor holds 231 slot machines, in reel style and video. Beside them, 12 interconnected stations run the electronic table games. You can play Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and War there. Play comes in two styles, automatic and dealer-assist. Every one of these games is electronic, from the reels to the cards.

If you pictured cards dealt by hand, adjust the picture a little. There are no live dealer tables here, just slots and electronic tables. The casino's pages describe no poker room either. Use the game finder below to see what fits your evening before you set out.

Getting to Joseph Drive

The address is 15 Joseph Drive, Wasaga Beach, ON L9Z 1V1, and no, it is not on the beachfront. It sits on the southwest side of town, toward Stayner. From the town's OpenStreetMap point, it lies 9.6 km to the southwest. Stayner's point is 5.1 km away. Both are straight lines, so roads run longer, and driving times are not estimated here.

If you are not driving, Wasaga Beach Transit Route 1 serves the casino on its regular schedule. Look at the Town's transit map for the exact stop. The Town also lists connections to Simcoe County LINX buses toward Collingwood and Barrie, plus the Clearview and Stayner route. Parking terms are not spelled out on the casino's pages, so call 705-422-2520 if that matters to you.

The pub at the casino

The same young woman sits on a tall stool at a high table in a bright sports pub, with fries, a club sandwich and a lemonade in front of her.

MATCH Eatery & Public House is the casino's pub and sports bar, a contemporary themed pub for food and drinks. Its hours are not published on the casino's pages, so call ahead if a meal is part of the plan.

Sports games and UFC fights are broadcast at the casino. Live entertainment runs on Saturday nights, but this guide has no performers or times to share. For what is on, see the events page on the casino's own website.

Planning your night

The planner below takes an amount you set aside and splits it across the hours you plan to stay. Pick a sum you can afford to lose, and treat it as spent. If the bus brought you, the last local run belongs in the plan too. The town's routes run daily until 9:00 PM, and the casino stays open much later.

Online casinos in Ontario

Ontario's regulated online gambling market opened on April 4, 2022. iGaming Ontario conducts and manages online gambling offered by private operators, and the AGCO regulates it. A private online casino is legal here only with AGCO registration and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. The official list is the iGaming Ontario directory at igamingontario.ca. Play is for people 19 and older, and only while they are physically in Ontario.

This guide's home page carries paid links, each marked Ad. They go to a private online casino partner that stays unnamed and can change. The guide earns a commission and does not check the partner, so look it up in the directory first.
